Humani’care in Agomé Tomégbé

Humani’Care Strasbourg is committed to supporting of “l’Association Togolaise des Volontaires au Travail” within the framework of micro-projects development and renovation of socio-sanitary infrastructure that the NGO ASTOVOT initiates every summer to contribute to improving the living environment in the areas rural.

The choice of the village of Agomé Tomégbé is resulting from a participatory diagnosis carried out by the team coordination of ASTOVOT.

This is a village isolated in Kloto prefecture. Equipment and socio-collective infrastructures of the village are all dilapidated, including the health center. This site will be organized with the aim of renovating the health center building.

On the sidelines of renovation work, volunteers will organize in collaboration with the body health center of the missions of public awareness of the causes and consequences of high blood pressure.

Clinic Boat – Sunderban

The belgian charity Partner Zonder Grenz ‘PAZ’ cooperates with a local Indian NGO: SSDC (Sunderban Social Development Centre).

Their work is mainly focused on healthcare in one of the poorest regions of India/the world. The population in this region lives scattered over 52 islands. This makes healthcare literally very inaccessible. And that’s where we come in with the Clinic Boat. If the patient cannot reach the doctor, we bring the doctor to the patient.

The Clinic Boat is a second-hand fishing boat that we converted with the necessary facilities for transport and outpatient consultations.

The Clinic Boat focuses on curative and preventive medicine. Medication is delivered in case of infections or inflammations and patients are screened and followed up for, among others, admission of malnourished children, operations for cataracts…
